What is Political Sports?
Political Sports is a site analyzing, commenting, reporting on the sport of politics. Winners, losers, coaches, strategies, game plans, great plays, leading players, major and minor leagues, spectators, and special interests, these are all part of sports and politics. Political Sports will take you inside the political scene to ask questions and look at why "teams" and "players" win and lose. We will look at who is scoring points, who has the best offense and who has an effective defense. We will explore why the Chinese are playing games with Japan just as sports commentators tell you why the Patriots beat the Eagles. Whether you are reading the front pages or the sports pages you will know why your guys (or gals) are winning or losing. Sometimes we will talk about the politics of sports but mostly this is about the arena of politics, the nastiest, dirtiest, sneakiest, and most deadly sport on the planet. It is the type of sport where the real losers are usually the spectators.
The web is a big, opinionated place. I intend to offer more, to look beneath the opinions to determine why the political arena is the way it is. Political Sports is a tool to explain political activities, something that will be informative, analytical, provocative, non-partisan, irreverent, humorous and most importantly, fun.
This site will evolve as time goes on and I hope that you will all help. Let me know what you think. I want to make this something you enjoy too.
